My Work
Ray Heisler Poetry is a creative, advocacy-driven initiative founded in October 2025 by Raymond Heisler, a disabled poet, speaker, and educator. The project centers on poetry, writing workshops, speaking engagements, discussion groups, and community events focused on disability and mental health, particularly for individuals living at the intersection of physical disability, neurodivergence, and mental illness. Ray Heisler Poetry exists to challenge stigma, address gaps in traditional healthcare and mental-health systems, and create flexible, human-centered spaces where disabled individuals feel seen, respected, and empowered.
